Synopsis:
Julian Fanshaw is struggling to survive on the allowance left to him by his father. His uncle who controls the money refuses to let him have more. Julian's marriage to elsa is floundering. then to cap it all a look alike - David - has turned up and has run up debts by pretending to be Julian. David meets and flatters and tries to seduce elsa. David seems to be everything that Julian is not - charming and witty. But things take a turn when David shoots the uncle. the policeman investigating starts to wonder why he has never seen Julian and David together.

Oh What A Lovely War

Synopsis:
Oh What a Lovely War is a theatrical chronicle of the First World War, told through the songs and documents of the period. First performed by Joan Littlewood's theatre Workshop at the theatre Royal, Stratford east, London in 1963, it received the acclaim of London audiences and critics. It won the Grand Prix of the theatre des Nations festival in Paris that year and has gone on to become a classic of the modern theatre. In 1969 a film version was made which extended the play's popular success. the play is now on the standard reading list of schools and universities around the UK and was revived by the Royal National theatre in 1998.

Secret Of the World, The

Synopsis:
Set at the time that Khrushchev revealed some of what Stalin had done when he was in charge of the USSR. Chris alexander (the name was cahnged to Sam alexander after the play's first run), a moderate union leader renounces the Communist Party and fails to get re-elected This leads to a steady decline he looses friends and verges on insanity. He declines to take advantage of a huge settlement after an accident and pins his hopes on making a fortune with an idiotic invention.
