Oor Hoose         Paras Over the Barras (Part 2) the Second Wave

Oor Hoose

Synopsis:
This show is less of a play than a collection of vignettes typical of an old music-hall variety bill, with the plot being deilvered through a series of short scenas, broken up by musical interludes. the effect is sheer vaudeville and the belting out of old standards like My Funny Valentine only reinforces the suspicion that we are witnessing a pub sing-a-long which just happens to be taking place in a theatre.
Fiona McCade, Scotsman
