579 is going to be scrapped for parts and replaced with a newer model, unless his owner can prove that he has transcended his adbot nature and behaves like a human. 579 must go through many tests to determine whether he will be deemed too human to be scrapped, or just another soulless robot.

This Play is About Pirates was part of the nationally recognized Educational Theatre Association's Thespian Playworks competition in 2014. Published in the collection of Thespian Playworks 2014.
