Synopsis: | A pub in New York. Everyone talks in their own code. Bartender Tony talks in numbers. The chef Miguel numbers in Spanish. Call girl Nancy in body parts. Agent James the names of politicians. Policeman Gene forensic science. An ageing Broadway director enters with a blonde actress - he can understand the codes, she cannot. James has a bomb he puts it on the television. The television is showing a Japanese businessman who wants to buy New York the car he is in blows up. But then it seems he is heading for the pub. The actors stop performing and question their parts they do not understand them. The director tries to explain but the actors just ridicule their roles. The director says that the part with the Japanese businessman did not go as planned - it should have been a massacre. He says they should start again. They do as the lights go down and the curtain falls | |||||
