Emily Bohannon is a playwright and actress originally from Sandersville, Georgia. She received a B.A. Drama from the University of Georgia, and interned at Manhattan Theatre Club upon arriving in New York, where she discovered her passion for new plays. She's studied playwrighting at the Einhorn School of Performing Arts since 2007, and is currently a playwrighting fellow at The Juilliard School. Her play, WATER ON THE MOON was selected for Playwrights Week 2011 at the Lark Play Development Center, and she received a 2010 Artists Fellowship from the New York Foundation of the Arts (NYFA) for her play, THE DOGWATCHER. She has been a finalist or semi-finalist for the Leah Ryan Award, the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Conference, the Old Vic US/UK Exchange, and New York's Summer Play Festival.
