Biography of Elisabeth Bouchaud

Elisabeth Bouchaud is a French playwright, born in Tunisia. She is a physicist, and her research concerns crack propagation in disordered materials. Fracture, failures in human lives are also her favourite theatrical topics. She has written five plays: - "Les liaisons dangereuses", after Choderlos de Laclos' novel "Dangerous liaisons", - "Médée" (Medea), put on stage by Richard Bridge in Cambridge, UK in 1993 - "A Contre-Voix" (Counter-point), put on stage at the Avignon Festival by Isabelle Andréani in 1994 and by Serge Dangleterre in 2000, in Paris by Myrtha Liebermann in 1996. It was translated into English by Mary Luckhurst and put on stage by Richard Bridge at the Grace Theatre of London in 1994. - "Musical Box", put on stage at the Coye-la-Forêt Festival by Claude Domenech in 2001. - "De la matière dont les rêves sont faits" (Such stuff as dreams are made on)
