Susan Charlotte is an award-winning playwright who is the recipient of the prestigious Joseph Kesselring Award. A prolific writer, she has written ten full-length plays, forty one-acts, and eight screenplays. Her plays have enjoyed productions throughout New York for over twenty years, including the recent world premiere called The Shoemaker which played to sold-out audiences. The play starred Danny Aiello, and was directed by Antony Marsellis, who also worked on the film version, A Broken Sole, which was released theatrically in 2007. Other productions include the Off Broadway premieres of She's of a Certain Age and Love Divided By/ Times Three, which has an original score by four time Emmy Award winner Billy Goldenberg. Additional film credits include: Come On, which premiered at the International Hamptons FIlm Festival and Love Divided By, (based on her play) which has an original score by Philip Glass and was chosen to open MoMA's Titus II Theatre. Her TV credits include: CBS' "The Comedy Zone", which starred Patty Duke and Paul Reiser and daytime series, "Loving" and "Guiding Light". Fascinated by the creative impluse, she wrote two acclaimed books, Creativity and Creativity In Film. She further explored this impluse in her work as a professor at Columbia University (where she received her MFA), NYU, and in such non-traditional places as Riker's Island. She also founded a school for writers, Prism Playhouse, and two theatre companies- Food For Thought Productions (winner of the NAC's Gold Medal in Drama) and the not-for-profit theatre, Cause Celebre. She collaborated with theatre icon Peter Stone on her latest project entitled The Round Table. Susan is a member of the Dramatists Guild and WGA.

This is a play about Mary, a former dancer who is losing her memory but never forgets a dance step. She is befriended by Rose, a mother who has psychologically blocked out parts of her past. Mary teaches Rose the tango and the importance of trust and enables her to come to terms with painful memories of her children in the past and move into the present.
