I was born on 2nd January 1965 in Lusaka, ZambiA. I attendedRegiment Primary School in Lusaka, the Zambian capital, moving on to the Kamwala High School, also in Lusaka. I have studied English and Literature and the University of Zambia main campus in Lusaka, where I currently teach literature, Drama and Theatre. I have written a number of award-winning plays, including: 'Venom of an angel' (Best National Production, Best Script, 2003), 'Dead Roots: the Man who Knows the Man' (Best National Production, 2006; Best Production at the April International Festival, Lusaka, 2007), 'the Fire Next Time' (Best National Production, 2007); 'Harvest of Shadows' (Best Script, Best Production, Mukuba awards, 2006). In 2000, I also won the Best National Poet award.

Venom Of An Angel

Synopsis:
Centres on a character called James Jombo, who is caught in his own web of deceit. He is struggling to keep his wife from knowing a deep-seated secret - that he has sired a son with another woman during their marriage. His double life eventually becomes unmanageable, and the secret impossible to hide.

Notes:
the play is set on two permanent sets of his middle class home And his mistress's poor home; the dichotomy Also reflects his split personality.
