Synopsis:
the dress rehearsal for "Dick Whittington" and all is not well. the tail keeps coming off the Cat and the actor playing the Cat has learnt and is saying the Demon King's part. the Fairy Queen has decided her costume is too brief and has put on her overcoat. the children refuse to play the fairies and the male stage hands have been drafted in to play them. then the dressing rooms catch fire.

Synopsis:
Linda and Roger's wedding is imminent. But Linda's aunt is suspicious about Roger as she knows so little about him. the day before the wedding a lady knocks at the door. She tells them that Roger is cad and they are engaged. Man From the Sea, The

Synopsis:
John and Sally are on a motoring honeymoon of Scotland. their car breaks down and the discover a deserted cottage where they decide to spend the night. they quarrel and Sally tells John to go. Later a man comes to the cottage. Sally tells him her troubles and he tells her that she must make it up with John as he had quarrelled with his wife on his honeymoon and they never met again. John returns and they make up. the strange man is a ghost - the ghost of Sally's Father who had indeed quarrelled with his wife on their honeymoon - left and had slipped and fallen into the sea and drowned.

Bank manager Ernest Cudlippe has retired to the country with his wife and son, Brian who is home on leave. Unexpectedly their daughter Gwin and her husband arrive. Gwin is expecting and they have been thrown out of their flat. They want to stay while they find somewhere else. The Cudlippes worry about food but Gwin's husband Jeremy has brought a piglet which can be fattened up and eaten. They must keep it hidden from the authorities otherwise it will be confiscated. They hide the pig in the second bathroom. Meanwhile Brian has fallen in love with the vicar's daughter Charity. The home help arrives - Elaine - who turns out to be a very glamorous woman, they must keep the pig a secret from her. The police call looking for Elaine she is not a home help but an international jewel thief but she has escaped taking all the objects of value she could find
