Born in albany, New York in 1948, Christopher Covert was pursuing a PhD in English Literature when he decided to make Theatre his profession. He has since acted professionally across Canada and in several CBC series and specials. His directing credits are extensive in professional, community, studio and cabaret Theatre and include the positions of Intern Director, Guthrie Theatre, Minneapolis and assistANT Director, Stratford Festival. He is the Treasurer of the Guild of Canadian Musical Theatre Writers and a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop in New York City.

Synopsis:
tells the tale of the French author's passionate struggle to come to terms with the strong and often cruel necessity of loving. Beginning with her decision to leave her first husband and become an actress, the musical recounts her many Dramatic, tender and funny confrontations with life and love until she at last signsa truce with her "Dear enemy," man.

Twelfth Night Blues, The

Synopsis:
this is Shakespeare's tale set in the smokey atmosphere of a waterfront cabaret. Johnny Orsino, aKa "the Duke" and boss of the Club Illyria, is nuts for Olivia, a dame as elegant as a countess. Olivia owns another club where a jazz trio hangs out. Into these lives walks Viola, a shipwrecked beauty . . . and so it goes.

Unicorn Moon, The

Synopsis:
this is the story of Lorn, a cowardly prince who thinks it is reasonable to be afraid of dragons. Katie is a princess who feels she is special. Together this mismatched pair seek out their peculiar destinies and along the way meet the wicked Queen Luria; her daughter, Loopilla, who has difficulty staying awake; and Prince Dean and his Father King Giddi, who giggles and would rather have fun than rule. Under a strange new moon, Lorn is transformed into a unicorn, fights a dragon and finds the true meaning of courage and love.
