Call Home The Heart

Synopsis:
The ship bringing Lydia back from Alexandria is torpedoed. In Alexandria she fell in love with Colin but she is married to Roylance. Roylance is in a POW camp. Colin gets captured too and is in the same camp. Lydia recovering keeps having hallucinations about both men. The men are released at the end of the War. When they arrive at Lydia's hospital she sees Roylance as he used to be not the wreck he now is. He was only kept alive in the camp by Colin. Roylance sees that there is no future for him and that Lydia will be better off with Colin - so there is only one thing he can do

Granite

Synopsis:
Lundy1820. Judith is in a loveless marriage with Jordan. Jordan is a farmer and he also helps lure passing ships onto the granite rocks so that they can be plunder. Judith says she will sell her soul if only she were rid of her husband. A convict is washed ashore and Judith cares for him. When recovered he says he will fetch and carry for her and kill any man who does her harm. Judith and Jordan's brother Prosper are in love. One night Jordan is violent towards Judith and the convict kills him. Prosper goes away and returns a year later and marries Judith. One night he too is violent towards Judith. The convict goes to shoot him but Judith grabs the gun. Prosper leaves the house the convict follows and pushes him off the cliff. When he returns Judith asks if he wants her soul. He says that all he wanted was a woman and a farm
