Lizzy Dijeh is a poet and playwright. She was born in London and is of Nigerian parentage. She read English and Related Literature at York University. Her plays have been performed at a number of London Theatres including the Royal Court, the Young Vic, Soho Theatre and Oval House. She has been a member of both the Royal Court Young Writer's Programme and its advanced group, the Soho Theatre's Core Group, and Talawa's Writer's Group. High Life, which is her debut play, was short-listed for the alfred Fagon award in 2007.

When two families living in east London reunite after a family tragedy their union exposes a wealth of secret motives, jealousy, insecurities and some very different reflections on a young girl's short life. a mother's loss turns into obsession, a father's ambition turns into contradiction and a child's innocence is forever lost. High Life is an explosive domestic Drama set within east London's Nigerian community.
