Bacchaefull

Synopsis:
What happens when people try to exclude the irrational, chaotic and unseen from their lives? the citizens of thebes find out when Dionysus, god of creativity and chaos, arrives there only to be met with rejection by his mother's family and with violent intolerance by his cousin Pentheus, king of the city. Dionysus wreaks a terrible vengeance that leads to madness, destruction and murder. along the way the myth pulls in caretakers, secretaries, bartenders, shop-workers, call centre staff, IT workers, wage slaves and the jobless, freeing them from the chains of everyday commitment to find the Bacchant inside them. . . But what are the rewards - and what's the price - of surrendering to Dionysus?

Synopsis:
In the ramshackle, hideaway house of a rebel leader's family, we enter a world of rituals and secrets. Daddy has long since gone; lost in the jungle on a dangerous mission. His wife and children crave his return, and their waiting games have taken a sinister twist. When a stranger knocks on their door, a revolution is born. Be Good Revolutionaries is a darkly comic piece about us - a generation living under the shadow of legacies and big ideas. Set amongst the decayed, stained-glass splendour of rediscovered gem, asylum Chapel Peckham, Something about You. . . fuses theatre, dance and art to take the audience on a journey into a mythic past. Inspired by electra, this lyrical, comic, sometimes violent piece is a call to action: stop waiting for heroes and take your own authority, if you really want to feel alive. egg is lost. Caught in a loop, she can t leave her flat - even when mummy comes calling. But when a strange man from her past decides to visit, everything changes. Memories of another life come flooding in - one in which she called the shots - and egg decides it s time to act.
