Synopsis:
Close to You is a new imaginative one-woman show following the story of Jennifer and her ongoing turbulent relationship with anorexia. However, it soon becomes clear that Jennifer's battle is far from clear-cut; it is also closely intertwined with her love and idolisation of Karen Carpenter - 1970s pop sensation. Can Jennifer leave Karen and anorexia behind her? And does she even want to? Featuring live music taken from The Carpenters this witty, touching story attacks the world of eating disorders in a completely fresh and inspiring way.
