Island

Synopsis:
Disappearance: a love story. A woman searches for a husband she cannot fully remember as a man tries to piece together what it is about her he cannot place. The ensuing action casts a look past what we say about ourselves into those lurking and ambiguous conditions of what's sayable--and their consequences. Zany, poignant, damning.

Notes:
Island touches on a fear that exists for all of us, exploring what memory means to us and revealing the tragedy of when it fails us--when the forgetting defines us. . ..Part tragedy, [part] absurdist comedy, Island is an intellectual and entertaining answer to the question: are we more than our memories? -- nytheatre.com
