Emily Feldmans plays have been developed by The Playwrights Center where she was a Core Apprentice, Live Girls!, Colt Coeur, and 12 Peers Theater among others. Her short plays have been recently been produced by Actors Theatre of Louisville and THE TRIP. Emilys play Poor Jesse was a Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival finalist. Recent honors include: The Kilroys List nomination, SPACE on Ryder Farm residency, Albee Foundation fellowship, Source Festival finalist, Heideman Award finalist, Tennessee Williams Scholarship at the Sewanee Writers Conference, and Associate Artist Residency at Atlantic Center for the Arts. She is currently an MFA candidate in playwriting at UC San Diego and holds a B.A. from Middlebury College.

an idealistic teacher battles precocious students, petulant parents, and a very peculiar principal. Fresh from the bourbon barrels of Louisville, this ensemble premieres a wacky story about the values we teach and learn. First grade has never been this wild.

Two Pigeons Exactly The Same

Synopsis:
Thomas and Matt try repeatedly to get matching tattoos. Their resistant tattoo artist refuses to honor their request. A play about permanent marks and impermanent connections.

Notes:
The Samuel French staff would like to congratulate the 30 playwrights selected to participate in the 40th Annual Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival! Chosen from nearly fifteen-hundred submissions (a record breaking number) both in the U.S. and abroad, these 30 plays will be presented in New York from August 3  9, 2015. Out of these plays, six winners will be selected by the Samuel French, Inc. editorial staff to receive publication and licensing contracts.
