        Desire Machine

Desire Machine

Synopsis:
Created for the Brunel Tunnel Shaft in Rotherhithe, accessed through an inconspicuous small door, audiences will experience the spectacle in the cavernous underground space that is both a site of industrial heritage and one of the few remaining hidden gems of London. The South-East London based performance company will take audiences 10 meters below the banks of the Thames into a seldom-visited subterranean space and The Machine that awaits. The Desire Machine is a 360° experience blending a highly visual style of performance with an intense soundscape that plunges audiences into a hallucinatory world where figures and voices blend and echo for a strange, kaleidoscopic encounter. Following sell-out runs of their previous shows in 2012 & 2013, this intimate performance part-peepshow, part-installation will take people on a haunting journey into distortion and desire for a total theatrical experience.
