Lydia Grant and Thomas Sutcliffe are childhood friends who have written stand alone pop songs for many years, so when Thomas decided to pursue The Mill on the Floss, it was an obvious decision to involve Lydia. She gained a Drama degree from Middlesex University and has a diploma in Musical Theatre from the LSMT. She has Workshopped numerous pieces of new writing including; Robert Sherman's Bumble Scratch and The Greater Game directed by Tilly Vosburgh. Lydia is passionate about bringing new Theatre to life.

Mill On The Floss, The

Synopsis:
George Eliot's tragic and romantic story of morality versus desire is brought to life by Composer Thomas Sutcliffe. He explores Eliot's work through a fusion of Musical Theatre and Folk traditions. As Maggie Tulliver's family fortune declines, she struggles to remain dutiful but forever yearning to be wild and free. Maggie is desperate to do right by her beloved brother Tom, but her heart leads her down a path of temptation. Will the rift between brother and sister ever be reconciled?
