Mr. Groves' production ofbeat was a sold-out smash of the 2002 New York International Fringe Festival, winning two Excellence awards for Best Direction and Best Ensemble Performance. beat has also been performed at The Eureka Theatre in San Francisco, and Off-Broadway at The Jewish Repertory Theatre, Urban Stages, and The Genesius Guild. Mr. Groves is a graduate of Boston University's School for the arts. beat is his first play.
