David Hayes b 6/6/1920 RIP 14/1 1993. Author of the longest radio soap, "The Foley Family" on Radio Eireann. Awards for various plays inc. "A gift of tears, Goose lodge" winner of Listowel writers week. Co-Script writer for the following RTE radio productions: The Riordans; The Kennedys of Castleross; Numerous one off radio plays. Television series (sole writer) South Side. Co-writer of the TV series "The Spike" Long Standing script critic for Radio Eireann. Works performed in the Abbey and the Gaeity in Dublin also in Cork. His works are preserved in the National Museum of Ireland.
