Black Slot         Last, The         New Words         Stitched

Black Slot

Synopsis:
Beth, a dramaturg, spends all her waking hours reading scripts in the hopes of finding "the one" that will please her boss Pam. And indeed, she has just discovered Tim, a young African American playwright, whose work is miles beyond anything else she has read so far. Unfortunately, Beth can't get Tim's play produced because the theater's "black slot" has already been taken by legendary playwright August Wilson. Before they know it, Tim and Beth have hatched a plan to show up the racism and hypocrisy of the American regional theater, but things quickly get out of hand in this satire filled with talking scripts and theatrical forgery.
