Frances Kay has been living and working in Southern Ireland since 1990. Before that she performed, directed and wrote plays and TV scripts for children and young people in England. Her recent work for theatre includes LaST CaLL, a play for teenagers about suicide, produced by Team Theatre, Dublin. The Irish Times said: '..LaST CaLL . . ..presented the issue of suicide in a way that was courageous, sensitive and skilfully managed' and 'The inclusion of the character Tom Crean was particularly inspired'. Her work also includes one man shows for Theatre Lovett, the most recent being 'a MaN IN HaLF' for actor Louis Lovett, based on the story of Jekyll and Hyde. She is currently Playwright in Residence for Kerry.
