V.E. KIMBERLIN's many plays, film shorts and comedy sketches have been produced in NYC's Tri-State metro area and the Hamptons, Los Angeles, Chicago, various other U.S. cities; London and elsewhere in the U.K. She has also published general hard news, feature articles and short fiction in many print and online publications and also occasionally reviews for New York-based theatre websites. Kimberlin's professional playwriting career began in the late 1980s with the production of her full-length play MIDNIGHT INTERLUDE at The Cubiculo, a noted Off-Broadway experimental theater. Her "signature" piece, the one act play GOING TO GRANDMA'S, has been produced in New York, as well as London (to a rave review in LondonTheatre.com) and Chicago ("Critics Pick"). Her short play DRAWING THE LINE was a 2011 finalist for the prestigious annual Heideman Award/National Ten-Minute Play Contest. As a fiction writer, her fantasy and tarot-themed short story "The Hanged Man" is published in the print book anthology ABACULUS (2007) by Leucrota Press. Musical theater devotee and 1982 graduate of NYC's National Shakespeare Conservatory classical acting program, she has recently returned to stage and screen (as actor "Liz" Kimberlin) and can be seen featured in several short and independent films, as background/extra for various popular TV shows, two upcoming major films and others.
