| Synopsis: | Commissioned by the Royal Opera House, Cofy corf f/muscle memory is an 'essay on foot' in which Ladd tries to re-connect with significant moments in Welsh history. Recognising that history and culture are constructs, she speculatively approaches an understanding of the two through movement analysis. Her trademark choreography, captured by an on-stage camera crew, is vision-mixed with a series of digital environments; the finished composition then viewed live on screens in the auditorium. With accompanying narration delivered through an infrared headphone system and a separate soundtrack heard in the theatre space itself, Ladd creates a complex, riveting and intimate multi-media performance. | |||||
