His play Nixon's Nixon has enjoyed two off-Broadway productions as well as a world-wide tour and a production in London's West End. Russell works writing interactive narrative and was the creative director of The Dark Eye, an interactive adventure based on the Tales of Poe featuring the voice of William S. Burroughs. Nixon's Nixon

Synopsis:
Historical Fact: the night before President Richard M. Nixon announced his resignation, he summoned Secretary of State Henry a. Kissinger to the White House. Nixon's Nixon, a two-character political satire, imagines the conversation of a secret meeting between Nixon and Kissinger in the Lincoln Sitting Room that very night (August 7, 1974 at 10pm). Performed without an intermission, these two larger-than-life characters spend the evening wrestling with history as they try to manipulate each other, re-enact scenes of their political triumphs and ultimately, devise a dizzying and doomed plot to keep Nixon in office.

Shepherds Play, The

Synopsis:
In England they've enjoyed this Christmas comedy for over Five Hundred Years. This is my version. The Shepherds Play is a translation and adaptation from Middle English of the famous Second Shepherds Play by an unknown playwright usually refered to as The Wakefield Master. Part of the comedy of the original is the anachronism of putting medieval English shepherds in a biblical setting. My version updates the anachronisms but keeps the intense Dr. Seuss-like rhyme scheme.

Notes:
The Shepherds Play is available to amateur and school productions without royalty. I only ask to be informed of the dates and place of any upcoming production.
