Dakin Matthews is an actor, playwright, director, translator, Dramaturge, and Shakespeare scholar. He has performed on Broadway and in most professional Theatres throughout California, as well as appearing in over twenty films and two hundred television shows. He writes original plays, translates classics, and adapts Shakespeare plays for performance. He has won numerous awards for his scripts, including a Drama Desk Award for the Broadway adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry IV.

Magic Christmas, A

Synopsis:
Three magicians (and one female assistant) from the East Coast attend a magic convention in Lake Tahoe at Christmastime, where their housekeepers, Jose and a very pregnant Maria, turn out to be the targets of a Homeland Security investigation run by one Harold King. Shakespeare's Henry Iv

A one evening, three-act adaptation of the two parts of Shakespeare's Henry IV, which won a 2003 Drama Desk Award for adaptation when it was staged in a multiple Tony Award winning production at Lincoln Center theater starring Kevin Kline.
