Caroline McGee is an actress, director and master theater educator in actor training. Currently she teaches at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and runs a private studio, Newgenerussian, in collaboration with director Dimitry Troanovsky. She is the former Director of The Lee Strasberg Film & Theatre Institute, New York. Her acting credits include the New York Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theater, Williamstown Theater, Berkshire Theater Festival, Opera Theater of St. Louis, PS 122, Ohio Theater, Soho Rep, and other theaters in New York, the U.S., and in Europe. From 1997-2004, as associate professor, she directed the MFA Acting Program at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Her articles on French and Eastern European theater have been published in Western European Stages and Slavic & Eastern European Performance & Film. Her film work includes Norman Jewison's "Other People's Money," Woody Allen's "Another Woman," and J.G. Ballard's "The Atrocity Exhibition," and more. She is a graduate of University of California at Berkeley and attended Yale School of Drama.
