Winners of this years Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award, Davy & Kristin McGuire are multidisciplinary artists whose work has included The Icebook and an atmospheric stage adaptation of popular fantasy novel, Howls Moving Castle. Their latest commission for Courvoisier was displayed at Harrods and their new production The Paper Architect will premiere in July at the Barbican London. The husband-and-wife team have built a reputation for innovative, indelible works blending animation, projection mapping, theatre, film, dance and papercraft and their projects have toured to 12 different countries over 3 continents. Together Davy and Kristin have worked with Cirque du Soleil, Microsoft Advertising, Canal+, The Guillemots, Partizan, Courvoisier and Harrods and their productions have featured internationally on the BBC, on TV in Japan, on Canal+ in France as well as being published in Kerrang, Digital Arts, Contagious Magazine, Time Out, Metro, Times, Elle Girl Korea and Computer Arts Magazine.

Notes:
For Christmas 2011 we designed and directed a stage adaptation of Howls Moving Castle for Southwark Playhouse in London. It featured Stephen Fry as narrator and an original music score by Fyfe Dangerfield.

Icebook, The

Synopsis:
The Icebook is a miniature theatre experience that combines intricately cut paper pop-ups and video projections. It is designed for a small audience of 10 people and tours internationally to art/media/film and theatre festivals, as well as, galleries, conferences, cinemas and private showings.

Paper Architect, The

Synopsis:
The Paper Architect tells the tale of a lonely man who longs for a life he never lived. Secluded in his workshop, he builds intricate paper models that become vessels for his eccentric dreams and melancholic memories. Witness the architects vivid imagination spring to life. Paper craft and video projection combine to mesmerising effect in this intimate performance.
