Synopsis:
William Whittaker a wealthy industrialist looses his sight. His relatives start to take advantage of him and they hope that his end will be soon too. His sister tells him of what is happening. William goes to London for an operation. He returns and the news is that he is still blind. This is a ruse - he has been cured - but he wants to see what his relatives are getting up to.

Once Bitten Twice Shy

Synopsis:
Charles Scofield is at last free of his domineering wife - she has died. However, he finds running his household difficult and hires a housekeeper. She turns out to be even worse than his late wife had been. He is unable to sack her - so thinks the solution would be to marry again and get the new wife to sack the housekeeper. His intended bride turns out to be even worse than the other two.

Pools Paradise

Synopsis:
John Sykes wins the football pools. He gives up the small tobacconist shop that he and his wife ran and moves into a small mansion in North Wales. However, a life of idleness does not suit him and he longs to be a tobacconist again. He hits on a plan to gamble away his fortune and return to shop keeping. However, each bet he places wins. . .
