Michelle Pettigrove has been acting professionally since 1987 when she graduated from University of Western Sydney's 'Theatre Nepean' with a three-year degree in performing arts. Michelle is best known for her three-year, regular role as 'Kate Bryant' in the well-loved Australian drama series A COUNTRY PRACTICE. She has made numerous television appearances including BRIDES OF CHRIST, SHADOWS OF THE HEART, RAFFERTY'S RULES, HOME AND AWAY, BIG SKY, BLUE HEELERS, SOMETHING IN THE AIR and CITY HOMICIDE. In 2004 she played the lead adult role in the ABC children's drama series SILVERSUN. Also a seasoned live performer, her credits include lead roles in TWELFTH NIGHT, MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, THREEPENNY OPERA, THE BALCONY, EQUUS, UNDER MILKWOOD, CURRENCY LASS, AWAY and THE MOUSETRAP. Michelle played lead roles in the national tours of SEVEN LITTLE AUSTRALIANS, LOVE LEMMINGS and DAYLIGHT SAVING. Michelle is founding member and manager of the three-girl singing group THE FUNKY DIVAS whose versatile talents have been in demand since the group's conception in 1994. The DIVAS have performed overseas, sold out locally and were nominated for a Mo Award in 2001. Until 2004 Michelle was the solo host of one of the most popular children's shows on cable television. Running for eight years, FUNHOUSE was the longest running locally-made program on the FOXTEL network. As a writer, Michelle's one-woman play SEEDS was selected from over 80 entrants and performed in the 2001 'Festival of One' in Adelaide. In 2002 Michelle was commissioned to co-write the feature film script 'Karmic Wheel' for a Sri Lankan/Australian co-production. In 2003-4 she studied Professional Screenwriting full-time at RMIT gaining high distinctions in all subjects. She is currently collaborating with writer Michaeley O'Brien on a drama series set in the Australian vineyards. Michelle also writes travel and editorial pieces for magazines.

A heart-breaking and humorous insight into the minds and lives of four diverse women on a common quest for fulfilment.
