Evening In Our Century, An

Synopsis:
Amnesty International has cast a steady light on the practice of torture and Amnesty information as used in this play to explore the psychology of men who will do anything for information. Alex, the old pro, wants to "humanize" the process and invites a young lawyer, Snimen, to help him reorganize things. Snimen resists, but Alex knows Snimen better than the lawyer knows himself. A frightening play that probes the power of the individual to resist.

Feuerbach's Wife

Synopsis:
A young Russian official, in scratchy Soviet-issue underwear tries to interrogate an old commissar who has finally run afoul of the Revolution. History in the grand manner unfolds, but the young interrogator finds her fascination and respect undermined by the old man's manner and her terrible long johns. Soon it is no longer clear who is on trial. An absurd comedy in the Chekhovian manner which questions everything from Marx and his dialectic to Pavlov and his dog.

Smack!

Synopsis:
Claire, a young woman divorced from Jack, a California thinker and poet, finds that her junk shop income won't cover even minimum expenses, not to mention the orthodontist for her son. Jack is broke, but his dad, Frank, a tightwad and retired actor, has money. Claire cooks ups deal with Joe Adorable, a pusher, to make everyone rich fast. Unfortunately, she has overlooked both the moral issue and Molly, Frank's lady, an ex-stripper who knows all about good and evil. the untangling of this dark comedy is witty and fast paced.
