Sharif's latest play PICTURES OF CLAY, based on the Pendle Witch trials of 1610, was performed at the Royal Exchange Studio in June 2005 as part of the Royal Exchange's New Writing Festival. Previously, he was a member of the Young Writers Programme at the Royal Court and was one of ten writers invited onto the Playwrights course run by the National Theatre Studio in 2004. Sharif is currently working on a TV script and a new play for the Royal Exchange.
