Morley Shulman was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Former standup comedian turned Copywriter turned Playwright/Screenwriter, he's written two plays to date which of course were Naked and Ad Hoc. Naked won for Best Runner Up Play in the Franklin Players festival (as well as Best Actor and Best Set). He's also written a screenplay entitled, A Mile in His Soul (www.amileinhissoul.com) as well as a sitcom about a telemarketing office called Hang Ups and is currently writing a one-act about two brothers whose mother is suffering from Alzheimer's.

Ad Hoc Naked Two BrothersAd Hoc
Synopsis:
In this comedy in three acts&..Meet Malcolm - feigning work in an advertising agency when he is, in fact, writing a play, also set in an ad agency, in which the characters are becoming more real to him than his own life. He can think of nothing else, not even his partner Charley, who'd give anything if Malcolm knew the color of her eyes. Instead, she spends her days getting him out of trouble whilst he works on his masterpiece. When Malcolm loses his job, and moves to another agency, he finds that the characters in his play are a little more real than even he thought possible in this comedy in three acts

Synopsis:
Once upon a time two people met on the internet. Only& they really wanted to impress each other&and so&they embellished& a little. And then they met at a coffee shop. This is the play about meeting that special someone you haven't quite told the whole truth to. A nice two-hander, one act festival play for stage. 'Naked' won best play in the Franklin Players festival of one act plays in April 2012 as well as best actor and best set.

Synopsis:
Two Brothers - a two hander one act play is a drama about two brothers, Gary and Nestor, and the responsibility of caring for their aging mother, who has Alzheimer's disease. Although she hardly knows them, they feel that they have a responsibility to care for her, but on the other hand, there is also a need to move on with their own lives. There is a feeling of being trapped in their situation.When Nestor decides to break free from their situation and move to Las Vegas with his wife, Gary feels that Nestor is abandoning their mother and also leaving him with most of the responsibility. Author Morley Shulman tackles this delicate situation that is so well known to many families by diving straight into the subject! This is a character driven short two hander one act play that should be simple to perform in a one act play festival, for example.
