Denise St. Pierres first short play, Bette Davis Eyes, premiered at the Bishops University New Plays Festival in 2012, and was revived in the Site-Specific category at the Toronto International Fringe Festival in 2014. Her second short play, Sehnsucht, premiered at the New Plays Festival the following year and is currently licensed by YesPlays.com. Her monologue "The Beginner's Guide to Gardening" was a finalist in Little Black Dress INK's "Planting the Seed" Festival (the 2014 National Festival of New Plays as part of the Female Playwrights ONSTAGE Project), and had readings and stagings in Ithaca, Los Angeles, and Prescott. Denise was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1991 and was shuttled around the country before her family settled in Ottawa, Ontario. She graduated with a degree in Film, Cultural, and Media Studies and Creative Writing from Bishops University in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 2013, where she studied under noted Canadian-American playwright George Rideout and served a term editing The Mitre, the Bishop's literary magazine and North Americas longest-running literary journal. She now lives and writes in Brooklyn, NY, where she works at a literary agency.

Synopsis:
Marlena hasnt seen Arthur in four years. Hes been trying to forget while shes been counting the days until they meet again. A not-so-chance encounter causes them to recall their past love and all the ways theyve changed. . . but one thing remains in common for the two: their obsessive passion for the golden age of Hollywood.
