the King's New Clothes was written by a team of three who met through the Pinhoe Pantomime Society. Peter Mitcheson was a founder member of the Society 26 years ago. He has appeared in numerous stage productions over the years in various roles. Peter writes too, mainly sketches and jokes. June Stevens is also a very experienced actress and writer, best known for comic monologues and sparkling performances as the pantomime fairy. Annette Ward writes stories, scripts and sketches and has a particular interest in comedy. the three have collaborated on sketches and film together. the King's New Clothes is the first full pantomime they have written together. It was originally staged in Exeter in January 2005 when Peter played Sir Ivor, June played the fairy and Annette worked back stage.

Synopsis:
Traditional panto with sparkling new story. Sir Ivor Darkside and his dim assistants Simply, Park and Ryde, trick the King into exchanging his daughter for invisible "magic cloth". Can lovable Fairy Nuff get into the Pantomime in time? Can our heroic stable lad save the Princess? Keep your audience in stitches while they follow the Drama and guess what could happen next.
