Jordan Tannahill is a Canadian playwright. His work has been presented by Canada's major theatres and honoured with several prizes including the 2014 Governor General's Award for Drama for Age of Minority: Three Solo Plays and Dora Awards for 'Outstanding New Play' for rihannaboi95 in 2013 and for Concord Floral in 2015. In 2016 the Canadian Stage production of his double-bill Botticelli in the Fire & Sunday in Sodom won the Dora Award for 'Outstanding Production' while Concord Floral was a finalist for the 2016 Governor General's Award for Drama. Tannahill's book Theatre of the Unimpressed: In Search of Vital Drama, published by Coach House Press in 2015, was called "essential reading for anyone interested in the state of contemporary theatre and performance" by The Globe and Mail. In collaboration with William Ellis, Jordan ran the alternative art space Videofag out of their home in Toronto's Kensington Market neighbourhood from 2012 - 2016. Over the four years of it's operation, Videofag became an influential hub for queer and avant-garde work in Canada. Tannahill has been alternatively described in the press as 'the future of Canadian theatre' (NOW Magazine), 'the hottest name in Canadian theatre' (Montreal Gazette), and 'the posterchild of a new generation for whom 'interdiscplinary' is not a buzzword but a way of life' (The Globe and Mail).

Bravislovia

Synopsis:
Starting at the age of 10, playwright/performer Jordan Tannahill created hundreds of maps, building blueprints, portraits, and family trees of the imaginary nation of Bravislovia, a fractured former-Soviet republic on the Baltic Sea. the play follows the life of the mercurial Isaac Nyakov, Jordan's alter-ego who lived a storied life as a fugitive poet before succumbing to the tyranny of a brutal regime. Employing dozens of childhood drawings, lush, cinematic backdrops and live narration, Bravislovia is a personal and whimsical journey exploring the ability for imagination to overcome personal trauma.

It's time for the teens of Concord Floral to start talking.

Post Eden

Synopsis:
Post Eden is a 'live film' about a fantastical day in the life of one suburban family in Richmond Hill. Inspired by interviews conducted with a dozen residents of the real-life street of Neighbourly Lane, playwright/director Jordan Tannahill creates a multi-media fantasia in which a girl exhumes her dead family dog from her backyard in order to break a curse that has befallen her family. Actors onstage interact with their filmic selves in disarming ways, as the lines between documentary and fantasy blur.
