Little India

Synopsis:
A tale of love and loss, mischief and mayhem. Trestle is back with sumptuous storytelling theatre, vibrant visuals, and powerful physical action. Influenced by South Indian traditions of Kalaripayattu (martial art), Konokol (rhythmic patterns) and mudras (hand gestures), Trestle re-imagines the classical story of Shakuntala for a contemporary time; combining ancient Arts with modern words, and inspirational music from India.

Lola

Synopsis:
Had I been writing about the real Lola Montez, I would have to be careful what I said. In the 1840s she famously horse-whipped a Parisian critic who claimed she had no talent. Such was the whim of the lady once labelled the most outrageous woman in the world': dancer, courtesan, countess, fraud, born in Ireland but later adopting a Spanish name to give her persona a bit more spice.

Moon Fool

Synopsis:
Deep in the heart of the forest, a King and a Queen fall in and outof love, and a Fool tries puckishly to lead them astray. Together, they create a heady confusion that changes the course of one hot summer's night. In this brand new show three performers use Balkan folk music, circus jazz and playful acrobatic movement to re-imagine Shakespeare's well-loved play A Midsummer Night's Dream.
