Lori Lee Triplett, Executive Director for IMAGO DEI: Friends of Christianity and the Arts and is the Director of the Salt and Light Drama Troupe that performs a variety of programs in various venues around the region. A member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Lori Lee Triplett has written more than 75 scripts and 9 books for multiple publishers. Twenty-three of her stage plays have received full-scale productions. Her body of theatrical work includes musicals, comedies or dramas, skits, one-acts and full-length plays. She is the 2003 Kansas Artist Fellowship Winner in Playwriting from the Kansas Arts Commission. Recent Publications include Sermon Warm-ups: 21 Lead-in Skits, The Trial, The Arrival, and Yuletide at Knoxshire. Additionally her poetry can be found in multiple publications including the Kansas City Star, Thorny Locust, and Purpose Magazine. She was formerly an adjunct professor in theatre at Baker University, and has guest directed at various institutions in the Kansas City area. Since 1994 she has been the Co-creator and Director of the Knox Drama Team for Knox Presbyterian Church, which performs sketches weekly and undertakes multiple major productions every year. From 2001 to 2004 she served as Executive Director and President of the Heart of America Performing Arts (HAPA) a nonprofit organization which seeks to strengthen society through the arts. Lori has a lifelong involvement in the performing arts, beginning with dance lessons at the age of three, her professional acting debut at 16, her directorial debut at age 19, and writing her first play at age 21. Her body of work reflects many facets of performing arts, as director, actress, singer, dancer, dramaturge, and playwright. Besides her practical experience, Lori has a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Drama from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She also earned a Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, an institution well-known for educating and mentoring performing artists. Additionally in 1995, she received a Juris Doctorate from the UMKC School of Law, where she was selected as the Outstanding Woman Law Graduate

Arrival, The

Synopsis:
Meet two families who struggle to remember Christmas without allowing "Time" and "Money" to overtake their lives. Susan and Bob, newly married don't even have time to talk once a week, let alone plan for Christmas. Meanwhile Claude their next door neighbor has a young granddaughter, Jessica, who has written a six page Christmas wishlist. Her parents are frantic knowing they cannot begin to buy everything, but Jessica's list has a lesson to teach us all.

Child is Born, A

A dramatic re-telling of the Christmas story with scenes interspersed between selected songs from the timeless classic The Messiah. Don's Dream

Synopsis:
This forty minute comedy explores Don as he pursues his dream of the perfect woman through a dance contest, only to find reality is a little different. Sonia is a prima donna, Dana is going to sue him, Elena a flamenco dancer that speaks with her feet, and Jesse Mae the dancing cowgirl is way more than he can handle. This play is a farce appropriate for any age group.

Love's Labour's Lost (Abridged)

One Mind, One Heart

Synopsis:
Lydia and Diana are arrested and brought to the holding area by Marcus a Centurion and captain in Governor Pliny's army. Their names have appeared on a list of people who are followers of "The Way." Governor Pliny is interested in learning more about the habits and life of the followers of Christ. Drusilla, engaged to Marcus, has been assigned to guard the two women in between questioning by Governor Pliny. Both Lydia and Diana are more concerned about following the examples of the apostles before them as well as reaching out to Drusilla. Governor Pliny will give each woman three opportunities to save their lives by burning incense before an image of the Emperor, praying to the Roman gods, and cursing Christ. Lydia, Diana, and ultimately Drusilla will all find their faith tested, but emerge triumphant.

A modern day soccer mom is a little too obsessed with helping her child to excel to relate to her child. When her child finds a scrapbook in the attic of old photos of Silent Movie stars, it acts as a bridge to bring them together. Sophia and the Grumpy Goldfish

Synopsis:
Sophia considers herself the Queen of the backyard. Chasing or tormenting anything that moves is fair game. Koi just wants to be left alone to wallow in misery. However, when Sophia gets left out for the day and Koi doesn't get fed, the two help each other and become the best of friends. In this allegory for youth, Sophia and Koi learn how to get along and how to be friends with someone of another race. As we watch Sophia and Koi grow in their relationship we see that name calling is hurtful, and that learning about the way others live as well as helping each other leads to understanding and friendship.

Wise Woman, A

Synopsis:
Based on the book by George Macdonald, about a lost princess who is "kidnapped" by a wise woman who leads her through a series of life lessons. Along the way a young shepherdess is also taken into the wise woman's care and both young women must grow and make decisions. The shepherdess refuses to grow and instead regresses to hatred. The Princess returns home spiritually old only to find her parents "blind" to her new life. She promises to spend her life helping her parents see the truth.

Yuletide at Knoxshire

Synopsis:
Take a trip back to Victorian England and discover the beginning of many of our modern day Christmas traditions. The Duke and Duchess are hosting the annual Christmas party at their estate and the audience is invited to experience the party first hand. The Duchess and her family are quite concerned about the Duke's way of celebrating Christmas. And so they devise a scheme to help guide the Duke through the many joys of Christmas: gift-giving, eating with friends, Christmas Carols, and Christmas decorations. Help the family to show the Duke, the greatest joy of Christmas comes from the simple gift we can all give, worshiping the Christ child.
