Lauren Whitehead's love and passion for the performing Arts started at a very young age and continued into her further education. Following completion of her BTEC in Performing Arts at Weymouth College, Lauren gained her degree in Dance and Culture at the University of Surrey before gaining her PGCE in Dance Education at the Chelsea School in Brighton. Lauren now works as a special educational needs teacher at a local Primary school as well as running her own children's Theatre school 'Razzamataz' in Weymouth.

Captive Minds

Synopsis:
Nine girls have been murdered by Adam, their beauty eternally captured in charcoal sketches. But this is a story about two sisters. Amy, 24. was in care with Adam. Amy is chaotic. lives alone. . . she's not like her sister, Beth. Beth is successful, a good teacher, able to move on. wishes her sister would listen to helpful advice. And then there's Emily, a good listener, who works with Adam. Ambitious with a bright future, she will do anything for recognition. Can Adam be the influence to change these people's lives? Is it possible for a psychopath to be the catalyst for good? 'Captive Minds' journeys into the dark world of obsession, exploring the morbidity of the human psyche and the charm of a damaged soul.
