All my life I have wanted to write. It was the career I longed for in life and I started writing plays when I was in primary school. One day, I remember my being sent out of a sewing lesson in grade 5 because I was surrounded by fellow classmates who were listening to my story as I made it up along the way. We did not get very much sewing done and I was regarded as being a distraction and sent out into the draughty corridor to await my fate. Since then, Ideas have kept flooding my head and I could never wait to get them down on paper (even in the middle of the night!) It was easy to drift into the world of the writer and live with my characters while I shaped them and devised their next (usually) madcap adventures. I love writing with all my heart!

Possum Gully

Possum Gully

Synopsis:
Possum Gully is a one-act play about a small town group of people who have formed a "Committee for the Preservation of Community Spirit". The Group, initially trying to encourage the spirit of co-operation, commitment and simply being "nice" begin to disagree with each other so that the play becomes somewhat chaotic and, at times, downright unfriendly. The result is that all they set out to achieve is almost lost. They realize that they need to begin by building their own "safe" relationships with each other first.
