Blue Boy

Synopsis:
I'm not here to spook you, mister - honest. All I wanted was a place to sleep where it's warm and safe. In an office late at night Reagan discovers that the past can indeed come back to haunt you, even if you've shredded the evidence. When a boy arrives in the small hours, it's not clear if his business is refuge or revenge. In this tense contemporary thriller, no one may be who they seem.

Flies To Wanton Boys

Synopsis:
All the good and bad things that befall you are written into your destiny and cannot be altered. How can you grow up in a corrupt and violent environment without yourself becoming a victim of anti-social behaviour, how do you defend yourself if the forces of law and order can't or won't help? This work-in-progress reading of Margaret Wilkinson and Karen Laws's tragic-comic play explores the moral ambiguities of life in an ASBO world.

Queen Bee

Synopsis:
When Ruth, a psychiatric nurse, takes a job as a live-in carer in an isolated Northumberland house with her patient, Angel, and an elderly housekeeper, Eusapia, she is looking forward to an easy ride after her former employment in a busy hospital. Soon though, the women are threatened by a figure lurking outside. Is it a figment of the hysterical woman's imagination? An intruder? Locked indoors together, the three women become increasingly suspicious of each other. Someone is not who she says she is.
