Miss Marchbanks

Miss Marchbanks

Synopsis:
The year is 1865, Victoria is on the throne and Miss Marchbanks has finished school. She returns home determined to conquer society and parlour politics, but will attentions from three eligible gentlemen prove too much of a distraction? From the company that brought you Jane Austen's Lady Susan (2010) and Poor Caroline (2011) comes an adaptation of a forgotten classic. Based on the novel by Edinburgh-born Margaret Oliphant, Miss Marchbanks invites the audience into the world of the Victorian parlour. Watch as battle lines are drawn between the sexes, rumour leads to gossip and gossip to scandal. www.charlotte-productions.co.uk.
