Kid, The

Synopsis:
Dan is a writer and has a gay sex advice column. He meets Terry and they bond. After meeting other couples who want to adopt they decide to go for it too. They meet an adoption counsellor and go over their concerns about becoming parents. They opt for an "open adoption" one where they get to meet the mother. Melissa is a teenager and homeless she agrees to them adopting her child. Dan's mother arrives. She tells him that she has known he was gay since he was a child - but decided not to interfere. Bacchus the child's biological father turns up wanting to have input into what is going on. Dan and Terry start worrying that Melissa will want to keep the baby. Both Dan and Terry are at the birth and they have their baby
