Girfriend

Synopsis:
Nebraska, the 1990s. Two teenage boys - one a social outcast, the other the quintessential jock - explore a relationship during a summer of self-discovery between high school graduation and the rest of their lives. Set to irresistible songs from Matthew Sweet's landmark pop album of the same name, this rock musical gives voice to those of us who grew up in small towns, those of us who didn't quite fit in and learned we were somehow different, and anybody who remembers the terror and thrill of first love.

Iowa

Iowa
Mom found her soul-mate on Facebook, and he lives in Iowa. So Becca says goodbye to her beloved math teacher, bulimic best friend, neighborhood pony and her mildly deficient teenage life, and she follows her wayward mother to a new, uncharted beginning. But in this fanciful, absurdist and intoxicating musical play from the imagination of Jenny Schwartz and Todd Almond nothing can prepare them for what they'll find.

Tempest, The

Synopsis:
Twelve years ago, Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, was overthrown by his treacherous brother Antonio and Alonsa, the Queen of Naples. Prospero and his daughter, Miranda, were driven out, exiled in a barely sea-worthy little boat, which miraculously brought the pair to this enchanted island. Now a powerful magician, Prospero rules a kingdom-in-exile: the monster Caliban, sweet-voiced spirit Ariel, and the island's many supernatural inhabitants. When at last, a dozen years into Prospero's banishment, Antonio and Alonsa's ship sails temptingly close, Prospero conjures up a storm-a tempest-to wash its company ashore. The newly marooned Italians bring surprises, like drunken clowns Trinculo and Stephano, who conspire with Caliban, and Alonsa's sister Sebastia, who nurses murderous intentions. Most astonishing of all, the now-grown Miranda "changes eyes" with Alonsa's son Ferdinand-an innocent love that shakes Prospero's certainty.
