Mum's The Word

Mum's The Word

Sue J Bevan
When 40-year-old career woman Sophie visits her family-orientated sister, she has news that shocks and surprises her: Sophie's long-term relationship is over because she has decided to become a mother against her partner's wishes. The transition to motherhood sends Sophie on a search for their long-lost mother, and so begins a journey involving three generations of women in one family, exploring what it is to take on that most crucial of roles and what it does to a woman's identity. And the journey, once begun, allows for no turning back.
