Tza Drake was once a chef. For fifteen years he toiled over the ovens chopped like a mad men, screamed, was screamed at, a lot, drank heavily, womanised and the rest, then he turned 30. Hangovers got so much worse, he met a woman, he started listing to talk-back radio, and he began talking to his cats. Tza Drake also decided that he would throw everything he had at writing. Quitting the cooking game he returned to University and completed a BA in FILM STUDIES, as he was doing this degree he wrote his second play 'My Kitchen Kills' which showed some real progression for a man who once stood in a kitchen and said "oh fuck this I'm going to be a writer, at least the shit that comes with that doesn't come with a fucking knife"! Tza is currently finishing his third play 'Once Upon a Time in Wellington' the last in his trilogy of plays about Wellington being performed in May 2014. (Tza Drake)
