Rew David Greer was born and raised in Park Slope Brooklyn NY 1984. Greer received a BFA degree in Acting from Emerson College in 2006. Greer has trained at the Atlantic Theatre Company (acting), the New York Film Academy (filmmaking), Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (Shakespeare) in London, and the Living Theatre workshops (public performance). Important writing credits include: Me, Who? in the MCC Summer Play Party 2001, The Big Picture in the 2006 New York International Fringe Festival, The Mechanicals in the 2011 Manhattan Repertory Theatre Fall Play Competition, Kill the Messenger in the 2013 Lower East Side Festival. As an actor Greer was cast in The Living Theatre's award winning 2007 revival of The Brig. Annual performances at the Brooklyn Book Festival as a reader with his company The Troupe Theatre from 2006-2013. Greer won the 2002 Hadar Foundation Acting Scholarship, Multiple Young Playwrights Inc. awards from 1999-2002. Greer works at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory as Assistant Theatre and Studios Manager. He is also a member of the acting company.
