Name Game, The

Life is music; you just got to know how to dance with it. So says eartha in the Name Game, a story told with humor, poetry, dance, song, and metaphor. eartha is old woman who lives in a dead end alley that she calls earthas Do Right Corner, a place of terror, joy, and triumph for those who find themselves there. She feeds them, loves them, comforts them, and plays them. eZone, a young blood mired in loss, guilt, anger, and miseducation stumbles into her corner. among other things, eartha plays the dozens and poetically calls in the spirits of ancestors until eZone understands the power of naming and the names he carries--the ones that lift him up and the ones that shut him down.
