Jen Huszcza is a playwright based in Los Angeles. BFA, Dramatic Writing, New York University. MFA, Musical Theatre Writing, New York University. Her short plays, Rinse, POP, and Flowers have been produced by Little Black Dress Ink in three festivals of women's writing in Prescott, Arizona. Four of her plays have been presented as staged readings in the Monday night Living Room Series at the Blank Theatre in Hollywood. Also at the Blank, she was a Producer and Playwright Mentor for the Young Playwrights Festival. She wrote and acted in Gunfighter Nation's collectively written piece, LA History Project: Pio Pico, Sam Yorty, and the Secret Procession of Los Angeles, presented at the Lost Studio in 2010. Her short play, It Has to End in Tears, is being produced by Greenlight Productions in Santa Monica in March 2015. She has blogged about playwriting for the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative website ( She is also a sailor and sailing instructor.
