Jackie

Synopsis:
In Jackie the Musical we revisit those heady days of forty years ago, and tell the story of a recent divorcee, who seeks advice once more from the pages of her old Jackie annuals on 'how to get a boyfriend'. The quizzes, the fashion tips, the 'do's and don'ts on a first date' and above all the 'Cathy and Claire' problem pages are all eagerly devoured as she re-engages with the dizzy world of romance! And to recapture the sprit of those early years, her journey is accompanied by a pulsating sound track of hits from the 70s. Thrill once more to the unmistakable sounds of Donny Osmond, David Cassidy and Marc Bolan and many others as we take a whirlwind tour of Planet Seventies.

Matthew's Passion

Synopsis:
Late September - the swallows are flying South and the church where Matthew's father preaches prepares for its Harvest Thanksgiving service. But this sixteen-year-old autistic boy finds religious matters bewildering at best and scary at worst - and does his level best to avoid them whenever possible - preferring the company of his beloved birds. In the hope of firing an interest in her son which may have a positive and calming effect, Matt's mother introduces him to a local music therapist. From the moment he hears the strumming of its strings, Matt is hooked on the guitar's mellifluous sounds - likening it to the bird songs he knows so well and the gentle sounds of the early morning breeze when he is alone in his 'hide'.

Somewhere In England

Synopsis:
In the summer of 1941, at the height of the London Blitz, it was decided that Britain's indispensable morale booster in the fight against Hitler should be removed to a place of safety. So the stars of the nation's favourite radio comedy, It's That Man Again, soon found themselves in a draughty Penrhyn Hall in Bangor, pretending they were still Somewhere in England. As sophisticated London showbiz stars rub shoulders with the grudging, grasping and gleeful locals, love blossoms in the most unlikely places. Punctuated with songs of the period including In the Mood, Sunny Side of the Street and Love is the Sweetest Thing, Mike James brand new take on this true story is an affectionate tribute to the heyday of radio comedy, the defiant spirit of the home front and the ability of love to bring us all together.
